Humber’s Mechanical Techniques - Construction Boilermaker Apprenticeship program provides the required technical and in-school training for a boilermaker apprentice.

Boilermakers are skilled tradespeople who work in the heavy industry sector. This sector includes steel mills, oil refineries, cement plants, pulp and paper mills, and power generation including nuclear power plants, hydro electric generation, coal fired boilers and co-generation power plants. Boilermakers also work on the pollution control systems in these plants.

    Becoming an Apprentice

    Find an employer willing to sponsor you as an apprentice.

    Contact the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development to register as an apprentice.

    Work with your employer approximately one year before attending Humber.
